FAQs

If the answers to your questions are not listed below, please do not hesitate to contact me.

What if I can no longer make my appointment?

Please email me at atlasphysiotherapyclinic@protonmail.com at least 48 hours prior to your booking to cancel or reschedule any appointments.

How many sessions will I need to book?

This is a common yet tricky question to answer for Physiotherapy appointments. Everyone is different, including their condition and their struggles. We will discuss proposed session numbers in your initial appointment and will regularly review your progress to ensure you feel you are getting the most of your our appointments. You are not tied into any commitment and you can decide not to book any further appointments at any time.

With Acupuncture and shockwave, most people will need between 4-6 sessions, preferably on a weekly basis to increase the effectiveness.

Do I need a scan?

In my previous employed role, the majority of my time was spent referring and discussing results of scans. The vast majority of people, do not need a scan and we can identify and address many symptoms without the use of diagnostic imaging. If I feel this is required further down the line, we can discuss this more in-depth together. If you do have access to a previous scan or report, please feel free to bring this along with your appointment if you would like to discuss this further.

I need to cancel my appointment. What happens next?

If you cancel 48 hours prior to your appointment, you will not be charged. If you have already paid via the booking link, a refund will be sent.

If you cancel within 48 hours, you will be charged half the amount of your session to cover incurred costs.

If you fail to attend a session without any notice, will be charged the full amount of your session to cover incurred costs.

What should I wear?

Please wear loose fitting clothing. I will need to be able to see the body area you are struggling with to do a full assessment. However, the main thing is that you feel comfortable within the appointment and I will adapt where needed.

Are there any problems that cannot be treated within Atlas?

In my career I have been lucky enough to work with many excellent physiotherapists in many different fields, whilst I am able to treat the vast majority of Musculo-skeletal issues, if there are any that I cannot, I am happy to signpost you to my previous colleagues as required.
