Acupuncture Procedure

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient therapy originating in China over 2,000 years ago, using small, single-use needles strategically placed to support the body’s natural healing processes. By stimulating specific points, acupuncture can encourage the release of natural painkillers, relax tight muscles, and improve overall function.

Depending on your symptoms, treatment may involve a single carefully placed needle or multiple needles across different areas to achieve the best response. Acupuncture can address localised muscle issues as well as more widespread pain caused by conditions such as fibromyalgia or chronic musculoskeletal problems.

Acupuncture is an evidence-based treatment that can help manage a variety of conditions, including:

Headaches

Acupuncture can greatly help with headaches caused by tightness and weakness around the muscles that support your head.

Muscle tightness

Acupuncture can help relieve tight muscles around joints that cause pain and restrict movement.

Trigger points

Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years for trigger point release in tight and upset muscles.

Back Pain and Sciatica

Acupuncture can help relax the tight    muscles around your back and glutes to reduce irritation of nerves causing pain.

Tendon issues

Acupuncture can help with tendon issues such as golfers or tennis elbow, as well as weight bearing tendons like your achilles.

Global pain/ fibromyalgia

Sam, struggling with Sciatica

I was recommended to Connor at Atlas.
From the intial appointment Conor was able to identify the problem, come up with a plan of action and after 3 visit i have seen dramatic improvement to the siatica which is caused by a herniated disc.
Connor is very professional, knowledgeable. I would thoroughly recommend Atlas to anyone.
